Ward Vessel & Exchanger specializes in the custom design, engineering and fabrication of process equipment for Chemical Processing and related industries. With our latest expansion in Charlotte, NC and our new facility in Houston, TX, our production facilities have grown to over 80,000 SF (including 5 separate bays with 2 SS/Nickel only bays to meet your segregation needs) and are well equipped with (6) 20 ton, (4) 15 ton and (2) 10 ton overhead cranes. Also located on our 4.5 acre campus in Charlotte, NC is an 18,000 square foot outside staging and storage area serviced by (2) 15 ton overhead cranes. Our facilities provide excellent access to materials and temporary storage of your finished vessels while providing reliable modes of transportation (highway, rail and water).
Ward Vessel & Exchanger is dedicated to meeting your business needs by offering design and fabrication capabilities in a wide range of pressure vessels and heat exchangers. Our expertise includes reactors (conventional, dimpled and half-pipe jacketed), columns, storage tanks, mix tanks and other process vessels including mechanical polished to #7 finish and electropolished. In heat exchangers we concentrate on the shell and tube type, fixed tubesheet units and u-tube units.
Ward Vessel & Exchanger works to our customer’s equipment requirements in both solid and clad stainless steel and nickel alloy (nickel, monel, inconel, hastelloy, alloy 20, AL6XN and others).
With an exceptional technical staff, including two registered professional engineers, trained in the structural, civil, mechanical and metallurgical disciplines, our engineering and design combines experience, ingenuity and flexibility with the latest in computer-assisted design capabilities. With ASME Code U Stamp for new vessels and National Board R Stamp for alterations/repairs, we are active in new fabrication plus the repair and modification of existing pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
Ward Vessel & Exchanger’s Quality Control/Quality Assurance program is committed to zero defects both technically and aesthetically. All vessels are built to the same exacting standards whether Code Stamped or not. We design, fabricate and test in accordance with ASME Section VIII, Division I and TEMA B, C and R. In addition to in-house radiography capabilities, we’re equipped to perform various types of leak tests, proof tests and material verification tests.
