TEMA 11th Edition
The 11th Edition of the TEMA (Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association) Standard is now available! This edition is being published as a digital subscription only. One of the largest new features of this edition is improved content for metric units. Where earlier editions included metric unit values that were converted from US customary units, this edition has new text, tables, and graphics for “native metric” materials and dimensions, such as 20mm OD tubes and 8mm thick plates. This new information will make the TEMA Standard much easier to use for exchanger manufacturers who work in metric units around the world.
Also included in this edition is an exchanger type selection guide, explaining advantages and disadvantages of various exchanger configurations, and discussion of when certain types should be considered. Another new section overviews various types of non-destructive examination (NDE) and when certain tests might be useful.
Other highlights include added information on repairs and alterations, support calculations, exchanger operation and maintenance, and updated TEMA data sheets to specify a heat exchanger for purchase.
